The artistic and technical challenges of dentistry are only part of what drives Dr. Fisher's passion for dentistry. At James Center Dental Excellence, Dr. Fisher truly enjoys the family atmosphere that has been created with our great patients. Dr. Fisher's ultimate goal is to provide outstanding, gentle and efficient dental care to help patients reach optimal health and the smile they deserve.
Dr. Fisher notes one of the ironies of good dental care: the better care he takes of his patients, the less he sees of them. "We take great care of our patients. As they get healthier they may only need regular checkups. That makes them very happy. My team and I get a thrill watching people's face light up when they see their new smile."
Dr. Fisher has been practicing Dentistry for over 30 years and opened James Center Dental Excellence nearly ten years ago. Born and raised in the Seattle area,
Dr. Fisher attended the University of Washington, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology. After receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1977, he spent a year serving a general practice residency at Providence Hospital in Seattle where he studied surgery, medicine and all aspects of general dentistry.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Washington State Dental Association and the Pierce County Dental Society. He also belongs to the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Fisher lives in Tacoma with his wife and two children. When he is not helping patients, he enjoys many different activities with his family, including hiking, skiing, dancing, traveling and reading a great book.
